Daylane
Terms of use
The responsibilities and product boundaries that apply when a Business uses Daylane.Agreement and authority
These draft terms are intended to govern use of Daylane by a Business and its authorised Team Members. A person creating a Business must have authority to act for it. The final terms will identify the legal operator, currently recorded as Daylane operator details pending, and their commencement date.
What Daylane provides
Daylane provides a job calendar for Customers, Locations, Jobs, Visits, Availability, Assignments, Booking Requests, Change Requests, Checklists, factual service messages and related history. It does not provide accounting, payroll, payments, continuous location tracking, legal advice or a Customer account portal.
Business responsibilities
- Keep account access secure and remove Team Members who no longer need access.
- Enter accurate, work-relevant information and correct it when needed.
- Give Customers and Team Members any collection notice the Business is responsible for giving.
- Do not upload payment-card data, identity documents, unlawful material or unnecessary sensitive information.
- Obtain appropriate authority before photographing people or private areas.
- Use exports and other records needed for the Business's own tax, employment, safety or dispute obligations.
Team access
The Owner controls invitations and roles. Schedulers can manage Customers, Jobs, Visits and Assignments but cannot control ownership. Team Members receive only the assigned Visit context allowed by the service. The Business is responsible for choosing suitable roles and reviewing access.
Customer links and requests
Booking Pages, Visit Pages, calendar feeds and invitations use private capability links. Anyone who receives a live link may be able to use its narrow function. The Business must share links with the intended recipient and revoke or rotate them if they are exposed. A Booking Request or Change Request does not alter the schedule until the Business accepts it.
Messages
Daylane messages are for factual scheduling information. A Business must keep its identity and contact details current and must not add promotions, referral offers, review campaigns or unrelated sales links to transactional messages. Marketing, if introduced later, will use a separate consent and unsubscribe system.
Free Invoice App
The current Invoice Hand-off is a user-confirmed copy-and-open action. Daylane does not create an invoice, send a server-to-server customer record or make Free Invoice App part of the scheduling service.
Exports, suspension and deletion
An Owner can export Business data and request Business deletion. A deletion request revokes public links immediately and has a 72-hour recovery window before the live workspace is purged. Daylane may restrict access needed to prevent abuse, contain a security incident or meet a legal obligation. The final terms will state notice, availability, warranty and liability provisions after Australian legal review; this draft does not invent them.
Privacy and contact
The privacy policy explains how Daylane handles personal information. A monitored contact address will be published before these terms take effect.
